Schaefer Earns New Certifications

CAMP HILL, Penn. - CCJM Camp Hill is proud to announce that Chris Schaefer recently earned distinction as a LEED Green Associate. The LEED Green Associate credential is intended for professionals who want to demonstrate green building expertise in non-technical fields of practice and is a step toward full LEED AP certification.Chris is the second LEED® certified member of the CCJM Camp Hill team, joining other LEED certified staff in the Chicago and Columbia Offices.

In addition, Chris recently completed training required for licensing as a Pennsylvania Department of Labor Certified Asbestos Inspector, helping to augment the team’s capacity to provide environmental services in transportation and facility related design projects.

Mr. Schaefer is currently a PennDOT certified bridge inspection team leader and environmental technician. He was previously the primary Bridge Inspection Team Leader for 193 small structures in Montgomery County, PA. Mr. Schaefer has completed full NBIS inspections for more than 1,000 bridges in the past five years. Other areas of expertise include fluvial geomorphology, wetland delineation, stream restoration, stream stability assessment, and hydrological studies and scour assessments at bridges.

Chris, who previously worked for USGS, has been a team member at the CCJM Camp Hill Office for nearly seven years.
