Oak Forest Hospital Building C Renovation

Location: Oak Forest, IL

Architect: Wold Architects and Engineers

Celebrating its 90th anniversary, Oak Forest Hospital, with more than 600 beds, provides the rehabilitation of chronic disease and long-term link in the Cook County Health System’s continuum of care.

Located on a spacious, 340-acre campus in the southwest corner of Cook County the hospital meets the needs of patients who require medical care and skills-training in a long-term setting. The campus has several buildings in various physical stages. CCJM is assisting Wold Architects in the remodeling of Building C. Built around 1914, this 110,000 sq. ft., two-story building has suffered significant neglect and deterioration. This remodeling project will rehabilitate the space to create office and emergency operations space for the Cook County Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and the Cook County Department of Public Health.

CCJM is providing Electrical and Fire Protection engineering services including: 100% emergency back up power for the Emergency Operations Center, new data center, and state-of-the-art security system with intrusion detection, closed circuit camera monitoring and card access systems.
