Have You Seen the Giant Heads on Michigan Avenue?

September 1, 2013

CHICAGO, Ill. - CCJM president, Anil Ahuja, PE joined in the launch of The Plant Green Ideas sculptural heads. Standing approximately 11 feet tall each, the sculptural heads are the brain-child of Plant Green Ideas RRR, a Chicago not-for-profit committed to sustainability.

Plant Green Ideas, in conjunction with the Chicago Cultural Mile, have installed fifteen sculptural heads on the Chicago Cultural Mile on Michigan Avenue stretching from the Chicago River south to Harrison Street. The art installation, in the form of giant heads, is intended to inspire new ways of thinking about sustainability and to encourage new behaviors that will positively impact the environment while also raising awareness of Chicago’s leadership in the “green” economy.

Anil is pictured with Edmon Lighthall of the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce during the official launch of this campaign on Michigan Avenue.

Anil Ahuja’s involvement with the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce’ Sustainability Committee, led to this new relationship with Plant Green Ideas. The initiative syncs with CCJM’s strong belief that reduction of the carbon footprint, storm water management and operating efficiencies of the existing building stock is as important to our future as buildings that may be constructed.
