Institute of Sustainable InfrastructureJanuary 16, 2015

CHICAGO, Ill. - Continuing our focus on a holistic, integrative approach to offer a high quality of life, CCJM recently augmented its investment in the future by joining the growing ranks of Envision™ qualified companies. As a sustaining member of the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI), CCJM’s certified Envision™ Sustainability Professionals are qualified to apply the Envision™ system in the design of sustainable infrastructure projects.

The Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure was founded in 2011 by the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), American Public Works Association (APWA) and the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).

Envision™, developed collaboratively by ISI and the Zofnass Program for Sustainable Infrastructure at the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, provides a framework for evaluating and rating the various benefits of infrastructure projects.

“It evaluates, grades, and gives recognition to infrastructure projects that use transformational, collaborative approaches to assess the sustainability indicators over the course of the project’s life cycle.”

In short, the Envision™ Rating System is a tool that guides project owners in the discovery of economically viable alternatives which maximize economic, social, and environmental benefits (triple bottom line).

CCJM’s Envision Sustainability Professionals are ISI credentialed practitioners who work as an integral part of a project team with engineers, planners, construction managers, architects, public policy leaders, and other stakeholders to achieve the highest level of sustainability for infrastructure projects.
