CCJM is a vendor of choice for the owners of 540 West Madison where Jones Lang LaSalle is the Owner’s Representative. We have provided professional Architectural, Structural and MEP/FP engineering services for several upgrade projects at this Class A, 31-story, 1.1MM sq. ft. commercial building. We continue to provide professional services, as the buildings’ needs evolve.  CCJM’s roles have included MEP/FP, Structural and Architectural.

CCJM performed the below listed projects with 540 W. Madison:

1st Floor Restaurant

MEP and Structural engineering services for the renovation of an old bank space to a restaurant.  The new space needed new and upgraded MEP systems, including new gas line and meter, 480V and 208V electrical power from existing switchgear and new local panels, new make-up air unit and ducts, chilled water cooling connection, new kitchen exhaust unit and duct and plumbing rough-in for water and sanitary system.

Rainwater Cistern

Electrical, Plumbing and Structural engineering services for the design of new rainwater storage system on 6th floor roof deck. Two pump systems were designed with a total storage capacity of 15,000 gallons of rain water.

Art Sculpture Relocation

Architectural and Structural engineering services to relocate an existing lobby art sculpture to exterior plaza. Analysis included collection of field dimensions and images, analysis for wind loading and base connection review. CCJM designed new cast in place concrete support slab, including calculations and drawings for permit.

Plaza and Driveway Reconfiguration

Architectural, MEP, Civil and Structural engineering services for the redesign of the entire plaza with detailing for the architectural features, Civil engineering, topographic survey of plaza, design of safety features (e.g., retractable ballards), options for concrete color and lamps, MEP for the new planters and signage.
