Transforming O’Hare’s International Terminal 5

Location: Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD)

airport 1

CCJM is working with Westfield and Epstein to design an exceptional expansion and renovation of select concession spaces in Terminal 5 of O’Hare International Airport. This includes extending power, data, gas, HVAC and sanitary utilities to within the footprint of each tenant space.

Additionally, this renovation includes the relocation of the current TSA security checkpoint.

Terminal 5 was completed back in 1993 and since that time, little has changed regarding the existing concessions program. The current program is located on two levels (departure and arrivals) and 90% of the commerce is in areas know as pre-security. The current program consists of approximately 15,000 sq. ft. of concessions space.

This new program expands the current program to over 26,000 sq. ft., with the TSA checkpoint relocated, new concessions areas added throughout the terminal and infrastructure modifications made to support this redevelopment.
