CCJM’s Project Control experts guide your project to successful outcomes on time and within budget.
Whether you’re building a complex facility, planning a major publicly funded project or undertaking an environmental remediation project, we help you design a plan and process that controls the scope, schedule and cost while ensuring constructability and subsequent quality throughout the life of the project. We strongly believe that when control is inadequate, a project soon becomes a panic job requiring extraordinary effort to meet schedule and budget and we therefore proactively take steps to avoid such situations.
Cost Management
Our experienced senior engineers often participate in a project from its inception, evaluating financial considerations from the planning phase through close-out. We have decades of experience working with our clients to proactively minimize unforeseen issues, including environmental impacts with sensitivity to construction challenges to ensure effective cost management. This experience helps eliminate wasted time and effort.
We ensure that the entire project team is made aware of the critical elements of the project development process early in the process. We emphasize close coordination among design team members to successfully deal with these elements. In addition, we regularly conduct risk and cost analyses to determine the probability that the project will stay within budget. When there is risk of costs exceeding budget, we analyze each situation and present alternatives.
Scope and Schedule Management
Minor changes in schedule or scope can ripple throughout design/construction activities to disrupt projects of any size. CCJM can ensure that changes in the schedule or scope don’t create unnecessary delays. We start with an understanding of the client’s scope of work, an experienced appreciation of unique project constraints, and selection of the appropriate scheduling platform. Our highly trained schedulers and planners then produce multiple schedules that maximize the efficiency of the project’s resources. We ensure that the schedule identifies the critical path, includes review time for appropriate agencies, and complies with the client’s planned construction schedule. This, together with our unrelenting budget and schedule monitoring, enables delivery of projects on time and within budget.

Constructability & Value Engineering
Our senior engineers who have construction experience consider value engineering while processing the most expedient approach for project construction allowing reasonable times to complete each activity. Critical constructability issues typically include consideration of material availability and delivery times, coordination with fabricators and suppliers with adequate lead times, etc. We routinely serve our clients during the construction phase and can lead pre-bid and/or pre-construction meetings, perform shop drawing reviews quickly and resolve project related issues with the utmost urgency. After-action reviews upon completion of each project’s design phase and completion of construction phase is a routine aspect of our continuous improvement focus as detailed in our quality management system.
Quality Assurance
CCJM’s Quality Assurance approach ensures quality deliverables that are integrated with every aspect of design and construction. From the outset our team assures that the project scope, including quality standards and check points, is well defined, documented, and communicated to the project team.
Each project’s task deliverables are uniquely identified for traceability. Our experienced team reviews deliverables, ensures documents are stamped by responsible individuals, tracks the status of project reviews, communications, resolution of owner comments, control of documents, etc. Our team anticipates potential quality issues, incorporates contingencies into the planning process while validating scope, cost, risk, and schedule submittals. Furthermore, we ensure that qualified independent professionals conduct QA reviews not only of final deliverables but also of key intermediate products.

Field Services
We provide a wide range of field operations to support our construction claims management services, including site inspections, coordination of laboratory testing, verification of materials and dimensions, site photography and video services, and related support activities. -
Forensic Engineering Investigations
CCJM provides third-party independent reviews and analyses for owners, contractors and the legal community in structural failure events. We provide conclusive, unbiased, and accurate forensic engineering services with minimum turnaround time.
Our forensic engineering services include:Event Reconstruction
Because “what happened” and “when did it happen” are often at the core of contractual disputes, accurate event reconstruction is extremely important. CCJM’s professionals can establish supportable event timelines based on technical documents, business records, client personnel interviews, photographs, and third-party sources.Field Services
We provide a wide range of field operations to support our construction claims management services, including site inspections, coordination of laboratory testing, verification of materials and dimensions, site photography and video services, and related support activities.Litigation Support
In cases involving complicated technical issues, our professionals can simplify highly complex technical facts into easier-to-understand concepts without losing essential elements. These concepts can be communicated via drawings, models, three-dimensional computer graphics, and other demonstrative evidence that can be easily understood by members of a jury.
