Tarheel Army Missle Plant, Remedial Action Plan Burlington, NC

It is a government owned, contractor operated facility that the Army wishes to transfer. Past operations at the facility have contaminated groundwater and soils with volatile organic compounds. The former facility contractor has been operating a soil vapor extraction system and groundwater treatment system in response to a State of North Carolina order under North Carolina groundwater law. The State requested an expedited clean up before they would sign the transfer papers.
