The e-Suite at the Museum of Science & Industry is a series of technology-enhanced classrooms, complete with state-of-the-art videoconferencing capability and networked laptops.  The space is a virtual single space learning environment and optimizes student interface with remote sites through the latest electronic communication methods.

CCJM provided mechanical and electrical design to modify an existing Lego exhibit into the e-Learning Center.  Flexibility to accommodate a variety of classroom configurations was essential.

The first curriculum to use e-Suites is "Live from the Heart", a program which allows middle school and high school students a virtual visit to an actual hospital operating room during open heart surgery. Students are in live, two-way visual and audio communications with the surgical team at Advocate Christ Medical Center.
